Project Overview
This project was completed as a personal, conceptual exercise for a class assignment. The brand was created as a reinterpretation of my previous employer, RoofersCoffeeShop, who granted permission for me to develop an original take on their company. The goal of the project was to design a modern identity for a digital platform that serves as a central resource for news, media, and community engagement within the roofing industry.
Client Context, Design Approach & Deliverables

Drawing from firsthand industry experience, the goal was to design a credible and community-focused brand identity for a digital platform serving professionals in the roofing industry.
The design approach focused on clarity, trust, and usability across digital-first touchpoints. The visual identity was developed to feel bold and recognizable while remaining flexible enough to support a wide range of multimedia content. Particular attention was given to typography, color, and tone to ensure the brand felt approachable yet professional within an industry-driven audience.
Deliverables included a comprehensive brand guidelines document detailing logo usage, color palette, typography, imagery requirements, and voice and tone standards. Additional assets were designed to demonstrate real-world application, including logo variations for special content such as podcast thumbnails, business cards, email campaign graphics, and interface concepts for a mobile app and responsive website. Together, these deliverables present a cohesive system designed to support consistent branding across digital, print, and interactive platforms.
Conclusion
This project allowed me to combine industry experience with strategic brand design in a conceptual setting. By reinterpreting an existing company, I focused on creating a clear, consistent identity suited for a digital-first community platform. The final system demonstrates how thoughtful branding can support a wide range of content while maintaining a cohesive visual presence. Overall, the project highlights my ability to design flexible brand systems informed by audience needs and real-world context.
